I first became interested in photography when I recieved an instamatic camera for my seventh birthday. I went through film like water, at which point I was informed about the expense of film and developing. That didn't rein in my enthusiasm, but it did teach me to frame my shots carefully before shooting them.

Most of my work has been done with a Minolta X-370 using slide film. I used to develop my own, but never liked having to dispose of the chemicals, or the amount of time it took. I am glad for the advent of digital photography, and am encouraged that there are now near-pro digital SLRs at a reasonable price.

I do not yet own a digital SLR, but I do have a Kodak EasyShare CX7430. It's perfect for snapshots, although I absolutely cannot stand the software that came with it. No matter--I just uninstalled and use Windows XP's utility for downloading the photos. I manage all of my graphics in Photoshop Elements, anyway, so there was no reason to wrestle with Kodak's software, which essentially takes over your computer as if you did nothing more than use their camera. (Are you listening, Kodak?)

Most of the photography I've uploaded into my gallery is nature photography, although there are also pictures of different sights I have seen when visiting cities and towns. If you enjoy what you see and want to send an e-card from the gallery, click on the thumbnail image of the photo you want to send to display it individually. To the upper right of the larger image, you will see an envelope icon you can click to send an e-card. To the upper left is an icon that will display all the images in that album as a slideshow. Enjoy!
